Biking Canada: Canada is a brilliant country, and touring Canada on a bike will truly show you why we love it. We delight in sharing the beauty that comes our way with each passing season, something our fellow travellers and cyclists truly appreciate. We never take Canada for granted, and we feel that we have a blessed life here running a bike touring company from Atlantic Canada.
Nova Scotia is where we hang our hats when we're not on the road, so of course it's near and dear to our hearts. Accordingly, we continue to offer our original three fabulous guided tours here: The Evangeline Trail, through the lovely Annapolis Valley; The Lighthouse Route, along the breathtaking South Shore; and The Cabot Trail, through the fabled Cape Breton Highlands.
Our Best of Both Coasts tour will have you cycling both the Lighthouse Route along Nova Scotia’s Atlantic Shore, and the Evangeline Trail which runs parallel to the incomparable Bay of Fundy. You'll be exploring one of North America's oldest regions, and one of the most beautiful places in Canada. We know that you'll love it.
Settled mainly by Swiss and German immigrants in 1753, Lunenburg has become one of Nova Scotia's most historic and beautiful towns, and that's why it's the focal point of our new Lunenburg Family Adventure. The homes and buildings here date back to the 1770s, and the streets still adhere to the original town plan of 1753. No wonder Lunenburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunenburg's colourful waterfront, narrow streets, and captivating architecture preserve a deep sense of history and the town's seafaring heritage.
We have recently added a handful of self-guided Nova Scotia tours, including: Nova Scotia's Lighthouse Route; the Evangeline Trail; the incomparable Cape Breton Highlands Tour (which also carries the Cabot Trail moniker); our Atlantic and Fundy Coast Tour; and our Lunenburg Biking and Kayaking Adventure.
Newfoundland's harsh beauty is one of Canada's last great treasures; it's still so wild and so rugged here, despite the fact that European fishermen first started calling on the Newfoundland coast more than 500 years ago. And the fact that the first Europeans to settle in North America — the Vikings — arrived a full 500 years before that Johnny-Come-Lately, Christopher Columbus. Our Viking Trail Bike Tour is just fantastic. Newfoundland is unlike any other place in the world.
Our Prince Edward Island Bike Tour is a kind and gentle ride, as befits the soft, pretty hills and charming vistas that await you on this delightful tour of Canada's smallest province. It will be easy to see why French explorer Jacques Cartier, in 1534, called the Island "the fairest land 'tis possible to see." We are pleased to offer a self-guided PEI Tour for our clients in 2008.
